South Australian Film Corporation CEO, Richard Harris today launched the SAFCÂs Documentary Innovation Fund.
This timely new initiative has been created to provide investment for the production of innovative and exciting documentaries that are creatively outside Australian television commissioning requirements and processes, and which will appeal to diverse audiences.
Quote from Richard lots of great projects around, opportunity to recognise great ideas and broaden parameters, etc.
In assessing applications, the SAFC will consider the quality, originality, innovation and creative ambition of projects; audience and market potential; and the economic and cultural benefits of the project to South Australia, including employment of SA based HODÂs and crew and total employment spend in South Australia.
The Documentary Innovation Fund is intended to enhance industry development in the already vibrant South Australian Film sector and provide cultural benefits nationally.
Applications for the Documentary Innovation Fund to close on Friday 14 May 2010.
