Although the website is still in construction and the paint may be wet on the walls of the gallery, this is one new stop off in the city you want to hook into. The gallery is upstairs in Hindley Street, and so far I have attended a poetry reading and and artists market. Both very enjoyable and rewarding in a variety of ways.
Adelaide has a grass root arts community, and if you are looking for them, or their art - this is one good place to start.

Opening Friday January 14
and closes on 12 February
Paper String Plastic Gallery
99a Hindley Street (Upstairs)
ADELAIDE
Artists Nina Rupina, Danny Crichton and Cass Crichton are "vagabonds wandering the universe together unlocking their inner-workings," according to everything I've read on them so far. The art work has a soundtrack and the works are creepy crawly things - sounds like a bit of fun to me, I encourage everyone to enjoy.
