ADELAIDE CHOOSES EVOLUTION FOR FEAST

Evolution Publishing, Australia's leading gay and lesbian publishing house, and Adelaide's Feast Festival are pleased to announce a brand new media partnership for the 2008 to 2010 Feast Festivals.

After seven and a half years with blaze, Adelaide's bi-weekly gay, lesbian, bi-sexual and
transgender newspaper as its media partner, Feast is delighted to team up with Evolution
Publishing after its acquisition of blaze earlier this month. Evolution Publishing is the publisher of blaze (Adelaide) SX (Sydney), MCV (Melbourne), Queensland Pride, AXN, Cherrie, Fellow
Traveller and the Official Mardi Gras Season Guide and will publish the Feast Festival Guide, with 50% of the profits going to Feast as part of this agreement .

Evolution Publishing recognises that the gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, intersex and queer (GLBTIQ) communities are an extremely diverse group of people and as such its titles reflect the lives of, and appeal to the broadest possible range of GLBTIQ people - from the upmarket professional to the radical queer underground, and everyone in between.
Likewise, The Adelaide Feast Festival is renowned for showcasing the diversity of this community to the general public. It's comprehensive program includes theatre, comedy, cabaret, music, circus, visual arts, outings, film, dance, workshops, forums, sport, literature, parties and large scale community events, including the famous Picnic in the Park. Feast 2008 will take place from November 15-30.

Evolution's titles, which are distributed to more than 2,000 cafes, nightclubs, hotels, book stores, arts venues, theatres, cinemas, education centres and libraries throughout Australia and boast a combined readership of over 10.5 million readers, are well placed to promote the 2008 Feast Festival to the GLBTQ community and its supporters right across Australia and internationally.

Feast Festival Manager, Jennifer Greer Holmes, said: This exciting partnership ensures that Feast reaches an even wider audience, both nationally and internationally, who will be delivered fantastic array of queer artists from all over Australia and the world. Working with Evolution Publishing will bring Feast higher levels of tourism to Adelaide. Audiences are bound to enjoy Feast, one of Australia's leading queer arts and cultural festivals

Evolution's publisher Peter Walton said: This is a great stamp of approval for what Evolution Publishing is doing, the national distribution network that we offer to advertisers and the reach of our readership. This partnership will put Feast on the must do list nationally and internationally.
