Elder Hall, University of Adelaide, once again becomes an integral part of the Adelaide Festival of Arts with its presentation of 10 exquisite lunchtime concerts. Called the Festival @ Lunch, this unique concert series takes place Monday to Friday 5 - 16 March at 1pm daily at the Elder Hall, North Terrace, Adelaide. Tickets per concert $20, concession and Friends of the Festival $15, subscription details below.
These precious, gem-like, concerts won't only enhance the Festival attendees' experience but also give Adelaide workers an opportunity to enjoy their own Festival event and a respite from their busy day with these small, but, wonderful bursts of music.
The range of the program on offer is 'extraordinary' says Claire Oremland, Concert Manager of the Elder Hall: "These are enchanting niche events, designed to break up busy days with an astounding mix of music from jazz, classical, contemporary, new music, world music and areas in-between performed by extraordinary musicians".
As Paul Grabowsky said: there's something for everyone in this series.
"Only in the Elder Hall can audiences see and hear topflight performers such as Mark Isaacs, Sophie Rowell and Konstantin Shamray, to name just a few, for $20 or $15 a concert; it would cost a fortune anywhere else. Of course, for the complete Festival experience music lovers can buy a concert series and make this their daily Festival music event."
