Witness the world premier of original jazz from the heart and soul of saxophonist Imants Cielens. FreEmpt seeks to second guess freedom and stay one step ahead of the curve. This music embraces the spirit of improvisation and attempts to capture a glimpse of what can't be said in words but only felt collectively.

A love of beats and pop melodies with the spirit of free jazz, Ornette's harmelodics, it's Cecil Taylor meet Sigur Ros. Highlights for 08 include the SoCo Cargo series with BVA, supporting Jon Cleary and the album collaboration for poet Geoff Goodfellow "Love is Cruel" which is out in July. The trio ranges from acoustic thru to full electronic soundscapes featuring Chris Soole on EWI. No-one blows quite like the dolls.
