Calling all Bucketheads!
What could be more Australian than taking after Ned Kelly?
Nothing! Except maybe participating in a massive street party and parade, like the one happening for this yearÃÂs Adelaide Fringe Opening Night on Friday February 27.
So why not combine the two and become a Fringe Buckethead?
Your Ned Kelly style bucket will be provided free of charge with eye holes already installed. YouÃÂll have the opportunity to march around the East End with forty nine other Bucketheads and generally contribute to the fun and mayhem that is part of the Fringe Parade and Party.
All you need to bring is the good times and the capability to walk along our parade route from Hutt Street to the end of Rundle Road without seriously injuring yourself or others. YouÃÂll be required between approximately 7:15pm and 9:30pm on Friday February 27 but will be free to enjoy the opening night festivities bucketless before and after these times.
If youÃÂre a little claustrophobic or simply like to keep your hair looking its best the bucket accessory might not suit. In that case there are some other parade positions still to be filled which involve dancing, making music and generally having a fun.
Fringe Director Christie Anthoney said being part of opening night is a ÃÂguaranteed good timeÃÂ.
ÃÂEveryone who takes part has as much fun, if not more, than the audiences. The atmosphere is electric!,ÃÂ she said.
