Dear opponents of homophobia,

The IDAHO (International Day Against Homophobia) Committee met for the first time on Tuesday, August 5 to prepare for IDAHO 2009. IDAHO takes place on May 17 every year and even though it is over 9 months away, the committee is hoping to do something bigger and better in 2009 and therefore would like to start planning as soon as possible

The Herd formed in 2001 after the core members of Elefant Traks record label decided to collaborate rather than submit individual tracks for a compilation. They retreated from the city for weekends and days off to record at a lakeside house on the Central Coast. What resulted was the self-titled album that featured the Triple J (national youth broadcast radio station) hit Scallops, a song that became an Aussie backyard anthem

Rehearsals are under way in Adelaide for Windmill Performing Arts' much anticipated 2008 production, Helly's Magic Cup which has its world premiere in the Space Theatre on Saturday 30 August at 6.00pm. The season will run through until 13 September.

Helly's Magic Cup is the first professional commissioned play to be written by celebrated actor and director Rosalba Clemente. Ms Clemente is Chair of the Theatre Board at The Australia Council, and a former Artistic Director of the State Theatre Company of South Australia
